Great for training
These are perfect for teaching or dry-fire training with a pump-action. Could also be useful for semi-auto familiarization. They look and feel like an actual live round, except that they're not.

Fiocchi "dummy' shot shells
These are the best "dummy" shot shells I've found. They more accurately resemble actual shot shells for size, feel and weight. I much prefer them over the hollow, light plastic type. They're the only ones I'll use.
Pros:
- Realistic feel/weight/look
Cons:
- More expensive/some fear they'll confuse them for live ammo
Best Used for:
- Loading/unloading drills
Would recommend: Yes
Somewhat Decent Dummy Round For The Price
The quantity was good, with 10 shells per box. The shells were entirely plastic, no brass or aluminum construction. The shell was advertised as 2 3/4 inch, when the actual length is 2 1/4 inch. The front of the shell was filled with pellets, and it had a good weighty feel about it. The base of the shell was obviously not filled with gunpowder, but some kind of plastic filling. The base itself was some kind of soft plastic, which felt cheap and low effort.
The shells loaded into the magazine and chamber without any problem. However, cycling the shells a few times betrayed its cheap construction. The plastic base took most of the damage, with several nicks and cuts on the edges. The center of the base developed a deep and permanent pit where the firing pin had struck. The damage seemed to level off after a few cycles, so I've yet to see them actually fall apart.
Still, the dummy rounds served its purpose. The quantity of shells for the low price gives you the ability to practice reloading and dry firing with side saddle shell holders. As a brand new gun owner, safely practicing how to handle my first shotgun is invaluable. Will recommend.

A Training “Must Have”
These are so much better than any snap cap I’ve tried. They simulate real shells in fell and weight. I have quickly begun to develop muscle memory. Not just with dry fire, but with gun manipulation due to the weight these provide.

- weigh
Cons:
- Expensive
Best Used for:
- Training

Fiocchi 3 Gun Match Dummy Shells
I bought these shells to use for dry fire and load training drills on my Tokarev TX3 12HD-A1 shotgun. I’ve never owned or ran a pump action shotgun, so these have been a great aid in helping to learn proper loading technique and operation. They are quality shells with real shot loaded in them, so you get the actual weight and feel that a live shell would have. Price, delivery and service were great as usual from Optics Planet. If you want a quality training dummy shell, I highly recommend these.

Nice for re-load training
These are pretty nice for training, they're loaded with a wad and shot to simulate the correct weight and feel of a shot-shell. They are clearly marked "DUMMY" and the shell is clear. It's also nice that 10 come in a box vs the other dummy shells that only come with 2-3 shells.
Pros:
- Quality
- Quantity
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Training
- Train indoors
Would recommend: Yes
