OCL Sportsman's Review of Firefield Compact Bipod
This bipod operates just like the Caldwell Pivot XLA. I think the springs for 'spring out' are of better quality than the last couple of Caldwell Pivot XLAs I purchased. The only bipods I prefer over the Firefield Compacts are the Firefield Strongholds which offer Pivot, Panning and an locking lever at a great price also. Just like the Caldwell Pivot XLA, this bipod only pivots but generally costs less than the Caldwells.
Pros:

- Good quality and durability.
- Notched legs.
- Great Spring out.
Cons:
- The Logo and writing is in very visible white lettering. Gun Metal Gray, Camouflage coloring or Autumn shades would have been better considering what it's used for, in addition to aesthetic.
Best Used for:
- All shooting activities were uneven surfaces might be encountered.
- In all shooting activities were good reliable stability is needed without needing the ability to pan side-to-side because this one does not pan..
