Fjallraven 8
Love the heavy construction and durability. I know that I will never need a replacement for this jacket. It should outlive me...perfect for backwoods skiing as well as offshore. Hard to find products nowadays that are built to last, glad I found it.

Amazing Anorak
First off, these run very large. I'm 5'10, 170lb, and wear a 40R and ended up with a Size Small. For reference, this garment has a 24" measurement across the chest, when laid flat. I have tried on a medium at a local Fjallraven store and it was very very large. In a size small, it will still fit comfortably over a base layer and one or two insulating layers depending on their thickness. With a t-shirt and a hoody, there's still room for something like a thick wool sweater without the anorak being restrictive.
That out of the way, it's very clear that this garment had a lot of throught placed into it when it was originally designed. The two way zippers on the side make it easy to don/doff and also provide great venting. The funny crotch strap also keeps the garment front\rear down in wind even if both side zips are wide open. The pockets are fantastic though maybe one complaint would be the kangroo dump pouch is a little too deep and that I wish there was a 2nd small pouch inside the handwarmer pocket on the left side as well as the right. The on true oddity of this garment is that the center neck zipper is actually a 2-way zip. I have no clue what that would be used for, but no worries, it doesnt make any real difference. One other minor nitpick, is that the zipper quality on the sides feels a bit marginal. Definitely take care of them when pulling. Though FR will take care of it if anything happens.
The garment doesnt come waxed as best as I could tell, which is great...
