Initially order this to check temps for Covid but it seems like the range difference between each check just a few seconds later is beyond a degree or two. Not accurate enough to be comfortable trusting the readings. Not sure why FLIR bought Extech unless there was some technology they needed for cameras in my opinion. Still would not recommend this thermometer, would rather use an oral or ear thermometer and sterilize between each use, especially for the price of this.
