For the price the FLIR ONE is an incredible asset. I have a 5s that was replaced by a new 6+, and I could not have found a better use. The heat signature pickup is exceptional, and the software capabilities are worth the price alone. I have used the FLIR ONE to check indoor insulation shortfalls, and I have used it outside to check on yard animals. I have yet to see how it works in the dark in the woods, but if I ever stay up late enough I intend to do that, too. Maybe I will catch the coyotes feeding on our fawns.

This is designed to be affordable and effective within a fairly close range. It's not for finding animals in fields or such but is incredibly effective doing analyses of building leaks, automotive issues, finding electrical connections that heat up from bad connection like too small an extension cord. On equipment finding which bearing is going bad is really easy or which cylinder on an engine is not firing right.
It has many uses around the home and work.
The resolution is low but better than I thought it would be considering the price.
I haven't seen a product out there that is nearly as good even for a whole lot more money. I also like the fact that you can take pictures with the phone. Makes anailizing issues a lot easier to deal with.
It's size and portability is better than any product of its kind too, just adds weight and thickness to your phone.
I've had mine since it came out and am absolutely impressed.
