This is my first night vision purchase. After much research, I was convinced by a Flir owner. The ongoing factory rebate didn't hurt either. The LaRue base makes mounting quick and easy. Charge the unit up, sight it in and you are ready to go. Menu system is very easy to learn and navigate. Options for several colors/displays are useful in various situations. As advertised, unit in unaffected by .308 recoil. Navigating the 4 buttons on top of the unit in the dark becomes second nature very quickly. The display makes it easy to located and target hogs. Unit comes in a very nice case for storage or transit. I have not ran the battery down below 25 or 30%, but battery life seems really good. I would definitely purchase this product again and recommend it.
