You cannot see even a 50 yards Clear picture very foggy and very bad zooming in and out this product is not for hunting in the night. Battery doesn’t last long I never would recommend somebody to buy this product for Boar hunting

Super excited to get new scope! Came in one day! Open this beautiful case, read the manual first as my most expensive purchase ever on myself more then the gun I am putting it on. Put batteries in correctly then every which way after that. Then go out spend $30 dollars on batteries nothing. So this is defective and still has bugs. I will contacting FLIR customer servicer immediately tomorrow. Will update with the outcome. Fingers crossed they have some in stock as it is the PT233.

Could not resist the opportunity of a great discount to get this handy item. I found the menu system easy to use once you look up and get your fingers oriented on the right keys. Be ready to encounter small print for us old guys. I found a black circle on a white target in the sunlight at 50 yards, and the contrast turned up all the way, gave enough of a signature to zero in. Adjusting up and down seemed counterintuitive to me, but I dialed right in with two adjustments. Reticle styles, colors and palettes were plenty of options for me. Love this tool. Haven't used it long enough to get an idea of battery life.

I have never wrote a review until now. I will say that this product is everything I expected it to be, it is also very durable and easy to use. I highly recommend this product. This is my first thermal and I opted to go with Flir because of their reputation and I feel I made the right choice. I think the simplicity of operation is a definite plus as well.

I've taken this on a few hog hunts since my purchase and it is hands down the best all in one package for the money. Other hunters in the party had other thermals and yeh some of the more expensive one had better zoom but this package provides the most versatility and quality for the money. It's Flir and it works like a champ.

Although the cost is a factor, the FLIR Thermal Scope is a better direction than the traditional night vision systems that are currently available. It provides a clear picture of your target during the day and night. It will be a great asset targeting varmits and predators on the farm where very expensive registered cattle is raised. This will be a major asset when reducing the population of these pests and will pay for itself very easily.
If your looking for a night vision system to use, look again at the FLIR Tthermal products instead. You will be more than happy with what you see! Litterally!
Cons:
- Expensive, but worth it for the optic

Well built with excellent protection around the front lens which is very expensive rare earth germanium. The fact things get banged around in the field makes this attribute invaluable and often overlooked until after the fact. Performance is excellent with intuitive menu. This is the big kahuna of thermal tech companies with a model for every need. You will never regret buying the best.
