Fobus double stack mag & flashlight pouch

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on June 20, 2011
I read other reviews of this product and knew what to expect. I use it for Smith M&P 40 mags. First, the mag pouch was way too snug when I received it. I took a Glock model 22 mag and forced it into the pouch as far as good sense advised. Then I used a hair dryer to allow the pouch to "stretch" to the right size. I left the Gloack mag in place until the pouch cooled. It was then the exact size and tightness for the Smith mag. Second, be sure that the flashlight you use is less the 1" in diameter or it will not fit this pouch. About .8" to .9" seems right. Otherwise its exactly what I wanted and it didn't take mcuh adjusting to get it right.
Pros: Convenience & price
Cons: Some user alteration necessary

Fobus Surefire 3P/6P/9P & Univ. Dbl Stack 9mm& 40 Cal. SF6909

Magazine pouch should be about half an inch deeper. The magazine digs into my side, and is uncomfortable when sitting in my truck. I have to jockey it around a bit to make it less painful. Other than that, I use it every day.
Pros: Easy to put on, small and compact, hardly noticable
Cons: Magazine pouch could be a half in deeper.

Position

I have found that if it is not positioned correctly on the waist, the magazine jabs you in the side and makes for an uncomfortable position.
