Most Helpful Negative Review Performs. Used item received.
This really does the trick on my Savage/Ashbury Precision Ordinance.308 The nitride coating and fluted appearance match the barrel perfectly, however the finish was not as expected. Mine appears to have been used as it had wrench blemishes.

This is my second one of these. Bought one for my Wilson 16", reduced felt recoil to .223 levels. Decided I better get one for my 12.5" CMMG .308. Haven't shot that one yet, but expect the same results.

helped recoil hurt precision

It worked well to help recoil but turned sub 3/4 inch groups at 100 meters to a ~3 inch vertical line group. Might be a decent choice if your main concern is limiting muzzle rise, but if you want precision it's better to go with a brake that is symmetrical in all directions.

Shoulder saver

I had shoulder replacement surgery several months ago so I knew I need a brake on a rifle I'm taking to Africa. I put this brake on an ultra light custom 300 win mag mountain rifle, less than 6 pounds. It took the gun from painful to shoot after 10 rounds to being able to shoot over 35 rounds with no trouble.

wrong crush washer

Purchased a Fortis red 7.62 muzzle brake and it was shipped with a 1/2" crush washer instead of a 5/8s". Makes you wonder how much they really care about their products. I sent them a email but haven't heard back that's why I gave them 3 stars.
