I've always just ran mil spec castle nuts and end plates and figured I'd try something different. Glad that I did. The quality of the machining is excellent and it gives a nice solid lockup for a QD sling. Couldn't be easier to install. Not that milspec ones are hard but these can pretty much be done by hand, although I would recommend about 1/3 of a turn more with a castle nut wrench. To top it off they look great too. I've switched all my AR style rifles over to these.
Pros:
- Solid, QD attachment, easy install, no need to stake, lightweight, and they look great.
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Anything that uses a buffer tube (receiver extension)
