I received the wrong side (right not left), but I’m resourceful, so I’ll just route the pocket to accept it. Besides that, it’s smooth and feels great. I like that it lowers the profile quite a bit, in fact, the fact that it’s on the right keeps it in line with the ejection kicker so the whole left side is flat on the upper.
Pros:
- ergonomic
- Low profile
- Smooth
- Easy

Less is more in some cases and this is definitely one of those cases. For $40 you get a no-nonsense charging handle made with the same quality as $100+ models + a very cool and innovative design that will likely outlast traditional roll-pin designs.

This is my second Fortis Clutch charging handle. I like the way the handle pivots and I think it will last under rugged conditions. Handle grips easy for positive control.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- Build quality

Great design, better than milspec. Eliminates roll pin weak point. Long enough to grab with gloves, but not long enough to snag on gear. Doesn’t interfere with 34mm tube optic. Pulls smooth with no drag. Sub $40 with coupon code.

This is the second of this style of charging handle that I've purchased. The way my rifle hangs from a sling caused a normal charging handle to dig into my guts which is quite irritating. This can still be operated easily by either hand but stays out of the way of my sternum. Seems sturdy and well built and fits properly in my bcm upper. No issues, I'll continue to buy these for future ar15 builds.

This charging handle works well on AR pistols, allowing you to rest the buffer tube against your cheek. Because it has no handle on the left side, there is nothing to hit you in the face during recoil.

I like it alot. If i could change one thing or have an alternative option it would be to have the latch made of polymer instead. That way it cant scratch the upper. Yeah the latch would take damage instead but thats easier to replace. The one weakness is that because its one side specific it does drag in the upper. Where a T lets you pull equally on both sides. I think if it was me id but a ball on it and cant it forward a bit like a bolt action.

A lot of thought went into this design and it looks like it paid off for Fortis! It's perfect if you have a busy top rail and every bit of space counts. Foldable OFFSET BUIS can now be set back further on the rail without touching the charging handle. This CH doesn't flex any that I can see when pulling back on it and has a smooth action on the latch lever.

I bought this charging handle because I found myself primarily only using one side of my standard AR charging handle anyway. The problem with the standard handles is that they have a tendency to flex slightly when you only grip the charging handle on one side. The Clutch charging handle was a no-brainer for me - why get a charging handle with 2 sides when I only use one side anyway? I couldn't be happier with it! It doesn't flex at all, and the aggressive serrations on the handle give a nice positive grip. Would definitely recommend this charging handle for anyone who likes running the bolt with only one side of their charging handle.

If like me, u only use 1 side of the charging handle to rack ur AR, than this is the best charging handle u can get, hands down. I always use the palm of my hand (facing up or down ) on tge left side of ANY AR no matter what type CH is on it. So the fact that Fortis eliminated the entire left side, IMO, is the most logical way to design a CH thats being used for a rifle thats 100% built to personal specs. I dont see any need for an ambi CH when ik the entire right side is only gonna be there to snag gear or add width to the upper. The only negative aspect i can imagine is if in a real life situation where ur defending urself or family & ur left hand gets injured & is out of action, it would now take u mich more time to manipulate ur bolt. But if ur that seriously injured ur going to be behind some type of cover anyway it u have to manipulate ur CH. Either that or ur out of the fight. Either way, the benifits outweigh the far fetched negatives IMO. Ive been using the Clutch for over a year now & have had 0 issues with strength or quality. The size of the actual handle is just right also, & my hands are a little bigger than "medium". Both function & quality top notch so far & i will use these CH's on every build.. So like I said, if u use one side of ur CH to rack ur weapon, then get the Clutch. Ull love it.
