I purchased two (2) of these as BACK-UP mirrors only. They cannot be reasonably compared to my S I Howard M-33 mirrors BUT they work very well as "V" sighted backups or "loaners". If cost is a primary concern... these mirrors will serve you okay. I DO train with them side-by-side with my M-33's just to stay aware of thier (minor) idiosyncrasies. I find it best to simply use the "V" sight method with them and NOT waste time trying to use the "retro-reflective" method. They ARE rugged and do work well if used as described... Mike
