AmmoVault's design is long overdue. Standard slip top ammo boxes regularly open unexpectedly and spill out the contents at the most inopportune times. With the ratchet latching mechanism, that will never happen again. However the down side is that you can't just shake the box open, but must squeeze and pry the sides apart enough to release the ratchet. A minor inconvenience, as you are not going to use these for quick emergency access like a belt pouch would. These are for range bag and luggage use for secure transit. They come in two sizes, large/magnum will hold my .375H&H. The small holds 300 WinMag and lesser. Buy enough to supply your daily range use or you'll kick yourself after they go off sale.
