Seemed like a good idea but i had to modify it
Like i said, the idea works. The little fins that keep the mag from dropping are sufficient. I had to bend them out to 45° to avoid catching on my bolt catch. Good price
Good price for a different option to make a new AR build safe act complient. Would recommend for anyone looking for a fixed mag solution. Nys has no yet ruled if this method is safe act complient but everything from Franklin armory states it's ca legal.

Beats modifying a legal sporting rifle to keep it legal in unreasonable states.
I purchased these magazines in both 7.62 and 5.56 for my AR platform sporting rifles. The only modification needed is for the tiny nipple on the end of the bolt catch to be filed off so this magazine can be installed and removed from the top of the reciever. Since the magazine is now fixed the rifle can be stored and used without any further modefications. If SHTF or the sporting rifles become legal again, the magazine can simply be removed from the top and a standard magazine can be used at that time!

- Using the riflr with this magazine installed would be extremely unreasonable

So simple to install
Less than 5 minutes to install. Seems to work well. Best option I found to make ar CA legal. Would recommend good cleaning and oiling before installing, will help work smother with loader. Did not like bolt catch with pin removed, makes it easy to remove but bolt must be manually locked back.

Franklin Armory DFM Magazine
This item works great. I installed it in a spikes tactical lower and it worked flawlessly. You need to buy the bolt catch from franklin armory which cost around $18 or you can be cheap like me and just cut the protruding end of the bolt catch down and file. It works easy. The magazine went in a little rough, but functions with no issues. I highly recommend for commifornia compliance.

Doesn’t work!
Second magazine I have got for my 6.5 Grendel and this one is worse than the first one I got from C products. This mag wouldn’t even fit in lower receiver without forcing it with oil. Then just to be curious to see if it would even work. Same thing as the c product mag. It would chamber. Dent and jam up every round. Ordering a e-lander product next!
