Most Helpful Positive Review Fun glock
This is a very fun way to have a legal fun switch for your glock. Franklin went the extra mile to make it full of options easy to install. Looks like a Glock 18 that was never civilian legal very fun.
Most Helpful Negative Review False advertising
I was so excited to buy this binary trigger. I waited two years checking in on their website to buy their glock binary trigger. I paid $100 more from their website than they are advertised here. The problem is that their optics plate hole distance in proprietary. No other mounting plate will fit. I ...

Franklin Armory G-S173 Pistol Trigger

by James Young, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on September 25, 2025
Keeping in mind this was an open box purchase, I ran into a small issue that was my fault during the installation, of the trigger, as it came apart, because of the attached rubber band that fell apart, although I followed the video online for reassembling the trigger I did not pay close attention as I should have as once fully assembled it did not function with the slide on, I called Franklin Armory support and the technician gave me the issue and fix, being that the trigger bar tension spring, not being in the correct position, note if it is not and the slide is on you will not be able to remove the slide normally, but have to remove the backplate on the slide (same as OEM Glock backplate remove), this will allow you to get to the trigger and make sure it is in from of the trigger bar and not behind it, as the video will display, once corrected it worked as advertised, note follow the installation video "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57avbn-KiCs", near the end of the video if covers the proper reassembly of the trigger, the slide is the easiest to install but still review the video as after proper assembly it does not install on the lower as a OEM Glock because of the trigger, follow the video, review it first. Also make sure the lower is an OEM Glock 17 and not a Polymer 80 as the rails are different, also it states in the instructions as well as Franklin website to use an OEM Glock lower. Once assembled properly go through the various function checks to make sure it func...

Order #29534284 Franklin Armory G-S173

by James Young, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on September 17, 2025
Received the product today, understanding it was an open Box model, the only issue was the trigger was not fully assembled, reviewed the Video online, and reassembled the trigger assembly, however I mad a small mistake, that caused the trigger not to function, and could not remove the slide via normal Glock procedures, to resolve this issue I called Franklin Armory spoke to one of their representatives, noted the issue and they provided me with the proper fix, the issue was the trigger bar torsion spring was not in front of the trigger bar but the rear, my error when reassembling the unit, I had to remove the back plate then pulled up the rear of the trigger and corrected the issue, tested it and it worked as advertised. So if you purchase one that is used or new and the trigger assembly fell apart follow the instruction Franklin Armory video, if you cannot find it contact Franklin Armory and they can assist you, they were very helpful and polite, now I can field test it.
Pros:
  • Easy to install
Cons:
  • Open box need to follow tutorial online
Best Used for:
  • Home Defense
  • firing range

Spotting action at best

by Bryan Moeller, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 19, 2024
Trigger engagement is sloppy. Slide is pretty loose on the rails as well. I tried three different sets of rails and I interchanged between the rails trying to tighten up the slide. All rails are brand new and from different companies. And nothing really worked. So I swapped out of my G3 frame and put it into a p80 frame. This only made matters worse. I think they have some more Machining and R&D work ahead of them before what they charge for the setup is worth the price.
