Recently I chose the Galco Concealed Paddle Holster for my Ruger sr1911, believing it would be the best one for me. The order arrived in just a few days and I was amazed at the beauty of the Havana color and the quality is superb. I am very happy with the holster and believe I made the right choice.

Very nice holster that is exactly the quality you'd expect from Galco. Excellent leather that grips my colt snugly. Not exactly what I'd consider concealed carry but as good as you're going to get with an outside the belt for a 5" 1911. Great quality product that shipped fast.

I am definitely "old school" preferring wood grips and leather holsters to composites. This a beautifully made holster that fits my 1911 like a glove. I bought the Havana brown which is more of a burgundy color.
Pros:
- High quality materials
- fits pistol like a glove

Very well-made product. Exactly what I expected when I ordered the holster. I use it for cross-draw holstering of my Taurus PT1911 .45ACP. Of course, a .45 1911 is not really a good concealed weapon due to its size, but the holster itself does what should be expected of a holster....hold the gun securely until needed. Great quality product!
Pros: Well-made, sturdy, paddle holds onto pants VERY well, very snug on gun...Taurus PT1911 .45ACP

With a leather belt that is thick, this holster is phenomenal. However, I have been used to a tactical web belt for my holsters. Since the paddle is smooth plastic (Galco holsters used to have a rough surface) the holster slides constantly which is annoying. I'm going to be buying some skate board traction tape and put it on the paddle. This is something I shouldn't have to do. Other than that one issue, I do love this holster.

This was my first Galco holster. I have used Fobus in sweaty Florida for many years, but dislike the rake and dislike the inability to reach the mag release on my holstered Colt OM. Love the vertical carry of the Galco. My OM is modified, with a single port comp, full length guide rod, etc. so is essentially a compensated Commander on an OM frame. The holster arrived quickly, and it was tight tight tight. But I also ordered Galco DrawEZ - do not skip this product - and spent several hours lubing the friction areas of my nonstd pistol. Within two days it was incredibly fast. Rides a bit higher than I prefer; would benefit from lower holster mouth on the leading edge for the draw; but fit is superb. For an imperfect world, this is a near-perfect holster.
Pros: Fast; secure; handsome
Cons: Paddle is on the small side; holster rides a bit high

Very nice, good quality, comfortable holster. I definitely like the comfort of owb holsters compared to iwb holsters however for me (using a sig p226 which is a big weapon for carrying) it sits a little too low and if I am not wearing an extremely long shirt the muzzle of the gun shows when I reach up or bend over. Overall I would recommend this holster
Pros: comfortable, lightweight, sturdy, holds weapon well
Cons: for my sig p226 it sits a little too low for me

It takes some time to break in the leather, much like the ball gloves we all used in Little League.
