Extremely well made holster. I have a S&W M&P 9 VTAC pistol with a Viridian green laser/light combo, a R5L. Pistol is flat brown and so is laser/light - great combination. I wanted to carry this duo concealed. I had looked at a number of carry options and I did not think I would be able to do so because of the size of the double-stack pistol and because the laser/light limited holster choices. I found this holster at Galco's website site and immediately ordered it from Optics Planet - with Galco's quality and design reputation and Planet Optic's prices, website, and service I thought it might just work.
The holster is tight and flat due to its leather construction and provides a much narrower (belt outward) profile than, say, a kydex holster or others I've seen. It rides securely and tightly on the belt, helping keep the profile down. Now, I can carry the pistol without needlessly worrying about turning my body someway and allowing others to notice the concealed weapon.
For me, the holster did need to be broken in - if it were not so the profile would be larger. As I discovered at Galco's website, I placed the pistol in a heavy (larger) zip lock bag and inserted it in the holster, working up to using a zip lock bag within another zip lock bag. I purchased some Galco "Draw-ez", a $7-8 liquid that doesn't mar the holster or what it's holding, to finish the job.

I wanted a nice holster to store my customized M&P 9mm which has a light attached for home use since I'm not in LE and don't need to carry on my person. I am pleasantly surprised that this holsters fits my weapon and the Surefire X300 Ultra PERFECTLY. And when I mean perfectly I'm talking about maybe 3-4mm of the light bezel is exposed.

I like it so much I'm ordering another that I don't even need just so I have one.
