Galco kodiak holster and ammo bandolier - Galco Kodiak Holster Ammo Bandolier

I purchased this holster and bandolier for a Ruger SuperRedhawk .44 Mag pistol (7.5" barrel) that I wanted to carry as backup while bowhunting black bear. I was very pleased with the quality of this holster/bandolier setup, and it performed very well for me in the field. The straps can be adjusted so that it rides where you want it...which was very important for me as a bowhunter. While hunting, I was able to have the gun/holster ride under my arm and out of the way of my bow while at full draw and not interfere with the operation of the bow or my shooting. When I was in the field for tracking or recovering a downed bear without my bow, I was easily able to adjust the ride of the gun so it was more across my chest. Plenty of room on the adjustment straps...even for a really big guy over heavy clothing you will be able to use this. The bandolier held the .44 Mag cartridges just fine, and greatly enhances the "look" of the holster. The only thing I noticed that could be a drawback for some hunting is that the holster is not silent. It's not noisy, but it can and will emit that leather "creaking in the saddle" sound when you move, so be aware of that when you're on a stand or still hunting. My hunt was successful, but I did take precautions against making that leather creaking noise while on my hunting stand.
