This seems like a pretty well-made leather sling for the price, but it also seems like it could be a bit better for the price. The leather appears to have some sort of coating on it so I’ll be curious to see how it wears in and what grain it has to it. I suspect that it is not full grain leather of the highest quality, and at this price point I’d expect a little bit more. A local leather working shop could probably do a better job at this price point for a custom-made sling.

Another thing I found a bit disappointing is that the hardware that came with it is different than what is pictured. It appears to be brass in the pictures, however the sling I received came with black hardware. A small gripe, but I’m going for an aesthetic on this particular rifle build and looks are a part of it. Thankfully, the hardware can be easily replaced with brass Chicago screws so it’s not the end of the world.

I will be curious to see how this leather ages, given its somewhat lower quality surface appearance. “Premium” might be a bit of an overstatement on Galco’s part. I guess if nothing else, it is certainly serviceable now, and I can always bring it to my leather guy to use as a pattern for a better one.

I had read about this sling in the past and decided to buy one. I really like this sling! It took a little bit of getting used to it, but it is a very effective sling for steadying your rifle without the use of a support. I highly recommend getting one!

A very high quality leather sling- I have two. Provides the stability of a M1907 sling, but in a more straightforward manner. In field, toolless adjustability makes this sling adaptable and easy to use. The Ching Sling will improve accuracy and is highly recommended.

I ordered this sling on November 7,2020 as of today December 6,2020 my sling had not shipped. This is the slowest shipping I have ever received. I have called an my sling had been expedited that was two weeks ago. When I ordered it was in stock. If I get the sling I will be happy to review it.

Great Looking, very functional can not wait to try out in the field! Waited 6 weeks, well worth the wait! Recommend by several internet sits but had all ready up my mind and everyone reinforced my desire!

Ordered on August 14, 2020 in morning and had email stating shipped, including UPS shipping tracking code in afternoon of same day. Excellent service by Optics’s Planet. Pricing much less than Galco’s and Amazon’s website. Sling appears to be good quality real leather. Many adjustment points. Easy to install using gun sling’s original hardware (swivel style, but do not swivel)

I’m in between notches on the arm loop, but I’m adjusting. Works good for shot stabilization and the loop can be used as a thumb loop when over shoulder carrying. Using on Ruger Gunsite Scout 5.56x45

I have used the original Ching sling with 3 attachment points on all my hunting rifles with great success since being introduced to it at Gunsite may years ago. This new one works perfect and avoids the third stud.

I ordered the Galco Ching Sling for my Savage Model 11 Scout. I like it and it showed up in a timely matter. The leather the sling is made from is thick and seems to be durable. I will keep everyone posted as to how it turns S out.

Great product and build quality. Would recommend it to other customers. The key mod setup for the loop is well made and the leather is quality. The sling works as advertised and secures the fore end of the rifle to your arm and makes it very stable.
