I own 2 other belts by Galco. I own a SB-1 and a SB-2. Those models are awesome. They hold the weight of any full size .40, 9mm or .45 without a problem, all day long. Those models look great whether dressed up on duty or off. The SB-1 and SB-2 are two layers with reinforcement in between. You can feel the quality when you pick either one up and hold it. Those models are made of premium steerhide. You can tell the difference matched against the SB-14.
The SB-14 isn't as thick. It's one layer. It feels flimsy. It's made of latigo leather. It will work to carry the weight of a full size, but it just feels like a regular belt, nothing special. It's not reinforced like the SB-1 and SB-2.
I'm thankful I didn't pay full price and got a deal on this, because if I had paid full price it would be going back. It's just not the quality you would expect from Galco. I believe Galco is discontinuing this belt from it's lineup and the reason in my opinion as stated before, "It's just a regular belt nothing special!" That's also why I only gave it 4 stars.Thanks Galco- for nothing!

I Carry daily and there are a few things that I think are a must. 1. A solid belt: (that doesn't say "I have a gun", & doesn't "sag", This Galgo is "Solid". 2. A Holster that will not break if I get into a Gun Retention situation (some of the cheap plastic / Kydex holsters will snap right off your belt/ (High quality/ solid Kydex holsters not included: I use high quality Kydex / hinging on gun / & situation. If your going to Carry; Carry Concealed, Surprise is a huge Tactical advantage.

Impressed with the first time picking up this belt. The belt feels sturdy and has good qualities with it. I wear it quite a bit with my iwb holster. Even without it the belt is really comfortable. Definitely a quality piece!
