I recently received my Galco Speed Master 2.0 Paddle Belt Holster in Tan Leather for my S&W Series E full sized 1911. I put the gun in a large Zip Lock bag and stuffed it into the holster for a couple of hours and when I took it out and removed the bag, my 1911 slipped into the holster firmly and fit perfectly. Now, whenever I buy another handgun, I buy a Galco leather holster for it whenever possible. I am very happy with Galco quality, and with Optics Planet's sales and service.

I have no problem with the product. You however sent me the wrong size TWICE, not getting my head around it.

Product was received in a timely manner. This Galco Holster is of quality leather and exterior finish. Stitching excellent. Fit for 1911 is tight however following instructions that came with the holster, easy to read and follow, I can see improvement each day. Highly recommend this model for your 1911 A1. Especially the fact that this one can be worn on your belt or as a paddle holster.

I must say this product is outstanding. Once again Galco and Optics planet dont disappoint. I've been using Galco 1911 holsters for a while, I must say the leather on them is fantastic. Fits my 1911 with ease. Now, yes it is leather so you'll have to break it in, but once you do ypu wont regret it.

Small paddle for max comfort. Retention is strong and pistol draws easy. The least we looks very professional and will likely wear beautifully. The break in period results in a good bit of leather bits scraping off into the firearm grooves, so for a while be sure to clean out often.

I have been running Galco Leather holsters for over 20 years because they are simply one of the best manufacturers of fine leather holsters out there. I was building a Polymer80 Glock17 clone and had previously found when building a Glcok 15 clone the Galco holsters would work. My origional concern back then was, Glaco is very "form fitting" and the trigger gurard on the Polymer80 is a little larger and different so I had a worry, would it fit? It did so I jumped on this model (Galco Speed Master 2.0 Paddle/Belt Holster, Glock 17, Glock 22, Glock 31, Concealment, Right Hand, Black, SM2-224B — Color: Black) for my Glock17 clone. Again, the fit was perfect and I could not be more pleased! The hand built leather holster is flawless in every way and very nice to look at. Once YOU FOLLOW THE BREAK IN INSTRUCTIONS, the holster carrys your weapon firmly yet, it is still easy to draw from. The paddle works excellent with a good belt and you do get the option to make it a through the belt holster. Again, FOLLOW THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS ON FITTING AND BREAK-IN. If you do you will have your holster ready to carry in just a few hours! The instructions say for you to use a freezer bag and do so! Do not try to fit your weapon in the very tight holster without breaking in first! And yes, use a freezer bag and not just a thin sandwich bag.
