I haven't bought a new piece of gun leather in 20 yrs., i ALWAYS buy used vintage, it's better....period. I needed something heavy duty to carry a hefty Ruger Redhawk in a vintage Bianchi flap holster.... and ran across this belt & it seemed to fit the bill. It is very well made in every way. The belt is thick & wide, the stitching is straight. the loops are sized right (.44/.45). I wear my gun belts ABOVE my pants belt, police style you might say, not below my pants belt, Western style... and this belt runs true to size for me. A 34 is a 34. The only 'flaw' as far as i'm concerned, is that Galco didn't line the interior w/ suede, or at least the rough side out of the leather.... like the old makers knew to do!. As the belt is smooth on the inside, it doesn't 'bite' your shirt and will slide down some w/ the weight of everything. I could see this was the case from the pictures before i made the purchase. In any case, not a deal breaker by any means. Expensive belt. over priced in my opinion (probably why it's been discontinued, very few were willing to pay the price), but i am satisfied & would recommend it for carrying a heavy revolver if you're not going the shoulder holster route.
