This holster has a lot going for it. I like leather better than plastic. I like a slim sidearm like the 1911 that fits in a slim holster. I like a holster with belt loops away from the pistol, to distribute the weight, and make a slimmer profile vs over the weapon. I like a holster that does not block you from getting the proper grip, due to excess material near the bottom of the trigger guard, where your middle finger should be able to get the proper grip as you draw. It’s easy to put on and take off. For those who carry most of the time, this is a great holster.
Pros:
- Fit and finish
- Design
- Ease of attachment and detachment
- Low profile/slim
Cons:
- Leather needs upkeep/treatments
Best Used for:
- Law Enforcement
- professionals
- Those who carry daily

Great holster.. The 3 o'clock position is best for concealed carry. I thought this holster was extremely comfortable I will be buying more for my other guns!! Even worked with my shirt tucked in! 5 Stars

Excellent product and it arrived quickly. Would definitely order from here again. This holster fits the gun perfectly. And it also conceals nicely. The quality of the leather isn't bad at all. Good retention.

I was looking for an In The Waist Band style Holster to replace my Galco Tuck N Go something a bit more comfortable and sturdy and also tuckable for my Kimber Super Carry Ultra this sounded like what I want but it was a lot more money than I really wanted to spend. Well I bit the bullet and made the purchase and now I'm very glad I did because this is the most comfortable holster I have any is my pistols and I have quite a few different styles. The quality of materials used and the craftsmanship are top notch now after using this holster everyday for 8 months, so comfortable in fact that I forget I'm carting, I find it to be a good value, a bit pricey, but worth the money spent. It comes with 2 different mounting systems 1) if you plan to be able to tuck under a shirt this system can only handle up to a 1 1/4" belt 2) if you don't plan to tuck a shirt this system can handle up to 1 3/4" belt, very versitile. This holster can be worn under a light lose fitting T-shirt or polo without printing and it rides high with a forward cant making it very easy to draw and reholster one handed with off hand being used to clear your concealment garment. I also use Galco contour concealable belt and have tried a standard belt but find it much better with the Galco gun belt for its rigity during drawing and reholstering.
Pros:
- Excellet material quality
- Very confortable
- Excellent craftsmanship

I bought this holster for my 3in Kimber. I have multiple carry methods from ankle, shoulder, OWB and tuck & go. This is the most comfortable holster I own for all day carry, it has great retention yet provides easy draw. I've found myself relaxing on couch at night, forgetting i'm wearing it.Just another great product from Galco.
Pros:
- Comfortable fit
- Quality, fit and finish

When you are looking for the perfect EDC companion, this IWB is definately worth to consider. great quality and finish as all my other Galco holsters I have in use for more than 20 years. My SiG 229 fits snuf and nice and the gun is perfectly hidden under a shirt or simiöar wirhout any problem.
Cons:
- Leather could be sturdier

This is the second Galco V-Hawk I have purchased; the first for a 5" barrel 1911 .45 about a year ago, and the second for a 4" barrel 1911 9mm. Both holsters offer excellent retention, and ease of draw and re-holstering. They are of excellent design and high quality construction, and offer excellent concealment, depending upon the level desired. If you are relying only upon an outer jacket or shirt to conceal the pistol grip exposed above the belt line, use the leather loops already installed. If you find the exposed leather loops to be too obvious, you can instead install the supplied plastic belt clips, requiring you to stuff your shirt tail between the clips and the holster, leaving only the grip exposed. If you are required to have total concealment by only a shirt tucked in around the outside of the entire gun, replace the leather loops with separately purchased, optional steel clips. On the 5" model, I ordered the steel replacement clips for trial, and found the leather loops are the most comfortable, and also superior in comfort and utility to both the steel clips, and the supplied, optional plastic belt clips. The lower front "point" of leather (just below where the front two punched holes are) will curl outward during the latter stages of break in. Until it does, it will poke those who are shorter in stature in the front of the hip when squatting down (deep knee bend). At full break in, you don't even know you are wearing it, and using the Galco V-Hawk my 5" 1911 wit...

I have bought many Galco (and other makes) holsters over the years for my SIGs. I EDC a M11-A1 IWB. Up until now, I haven't been able to find the perfect holster for walking around , sitting down, and sitting in the car. Now I have. This holster stays where you put it, and is comfortable. Add to that, the usual Galco top quality workmanship & materials. This really is the last IWB I need to buy.
Pros:
- Value for money
- comfortable,
- Stays put

Fits my Colt like a glove, but I purchased for my Sig RCS. The ejection port and take-down lever pin location is slightly different on the Sig, but a little rubbing and break-in has it functioning great.

It is a very comfortable IWB holster. You can conceal a large Springfield XD 45 relatively easily. As all other holsters from Galco, it is of high quality and well-made. The only complain I have is about the snaps on the belt loops, which are not "pull the dot" one-directional snaps. They must change the snaps on belt loops to "Pull-the-Dot" one-way snaps for added security and retention.
Pros: Comfort
Cons: Snaps on belt loops ...
