The holster is great. It's very well made and practical. My only concern is the back button rivets possibly scarring the pistol. I think I will contact cement a small piece of leather over top of them in order to prevent contact to the gun.

Springfield Armory 1911 5in barrel
This holster DOES fit the Springfield 1911 5 in barrel. Very snug fit. So disregard my previous review. I am very happy with this purchase

Springfield Armory 1911 5in barrel
The snap will not engage by approx. 1/2 an inch. The trigger guard does not go far enough into the holster as the plastic trim is stopping it. I could loosen the trims screws and slide it down 1/2 inch and re-screw it and do some trimming to make it work or just cut off the "safety strap" altogethe. Nice holster otherwise.

Cons:
- doesen't fit Springfeild Armoury 1911 5in barrel.
