Galco Yaqui Paddle Holster
Very nice holster. Looks as good as the picture. Holds the gun well. Would have given all "5 stars" but I bought it for carry, and with no forward cant carry is not concealed as well as I would like. A great range holster.

Yaqui paddle holster
This holster is very well make, just did not like that it did not feel secure on my hip. The quality of the leather and the comfort are there, plus it being able to adjust tension is a nice feature. One thing I did not like is that you could not adjust the angle of the draw.

Galco Yaqui Paddle Holster ok..
I had wanted this holster for a while now. I finally got it, (Optics Planet was the least expensive) and I was so excited, until I tried to draw. The paddle comes right out of the pants and the holster stayed on the gun, no matter how tight I could do my belt. So, this is no good for a concealed carry holster. If you need your gun, you will most likely get your holster too, then have to hold it and draw the gun.
I had to send it back, to try to find another leather paddle holster.
It is a design flaw with the paddle. The retention for in the pants is on the bottom of the paddle, inside the pants. There is nothing on the back side of the holster to catch the outside of the belt (like the serpa holsters/ which work great, but take the finish off parts of the slide and frame)

GALCO YAQUI 1911 PADDLE CARRY
As with all GALCO products, I am pleased to have purchased a product that is "Made in the USA".
It is professionally designed and manufactured.
The holster materials are durable leather with a fine finish and the waist band capture clip is high density polymer with a smooth finish. I have several 1911's with various barrel lengths and this holster works well with each of them. Two high density plastic compression screws pass through rubberized bushings. This mechanism allows for holster adjustment (pistol retention) while protecting the finish of your firearm (trigger guard). I have purchased several holsters from GALCO and each is a high quality product!

I have used Galco holsters as far back as 1984 and have never been disappointed, and this holster continues the Galco reputation. Optics Palnet is a pleasure to deal with and highly recommend them to all in need of quality with outstanding prices. 5 Stars also go to Optics Planet.
Pros: Extremely comfortable, allows postive purchase of firearm when drawing, light weight, tucks agaist the body well.
Cons: Paddle needs to be larger to stop the "top heavy" feeling when carrying

Galco Yaqui Holster
While I liked how quickly you can attach and remove this holster from your belt. I found that it prints like crazy, so I'd advise to use this holsterr for winter carry. In the summertime, I would not recommend using this holster for CCW.
