Makes install easy
Although not necessarily a must have, it does make installing gas block much easier. If your barrel isn't dimpled or you're using a clamp on block it is a simple way to easily get the fitment correct much quicker and easier. Worth the money for the simplicity and using just a regular ball point gel pin I was able to wipe it clean for use on other builds in the future.
Why Didn’t I Think Of This??
Amazing, simple product that makes gas block alignment quick and easy. Much more convenient and accurate than the old straight-edge-and-pencil method, and less troublesome than the plastic pin products out there.
I’d highly recommend a silver permanent marker for blued/intruded barrels. Can’t wait for the .625 and .875 versions.

Don't let the simple design fool you! It works!
Was having issues with a clamp-on gas block. The Gas Block Genie allowed me to make a couple marks showing me the center of the Gas Block and sure enough when I reinstalled it On my barrel I could see that I had missed the mark the first time. It does what they claim for the price of a trip to the range.
