Geisselle Rail NM
The Geisselle NMrail is great. Already had one and liked it so much purchased another. CMP approved. Some think they need to add additional weight, I find the weight to be sufficient. You will need a picatinny gas block. Would recommend, this item. However the shipping aspect if Plant Optics is less than desirable.
Pros:
- Works great!
Cons:
- shipping a bit slow
Best Used for:
- High Power Rifles for XTC
Would recommend: Yes

Service rifle upgrade
Swapped out the standard A2 style handguards on my White Oak upper for this one. Works great. More of a true floating barrel configuration than the A2 'Float tube'. I noticed significantly less POI shift when using a nice, tight sling. Install was very straightforward. The bushing type barrel nut makes for a very tight slip-on fit before tightening the clamping nuts. (I absolutely recommend a decent torque wrench and a good vice block) A bonus to this design is that you don't need to tweak the torque a little up or down to allow for alignment of the gas tube, you can set the exact torque spec you desire.
The only 'bad' thing I've noticed... In offhand, I've always held tight against the magwell, with the A2 retention ring sitting between my thumb and index finger. This handguard has a much slimmer base, so I've had to make adjustments to my grip to get enough elevation. (changing to a 'V' grip between index and middle fingers) Not really a 'con', but it is an adjustment to take into consideration if you've been shooting one way for a while.
