Works for installing flash hiders and muzzle devices only because there is no lug to lock into the receiver at the charging handle slot. Since it does not keep the receiver from rotating you can shear off the lug on the barrel extension if you are trying to remove highly torqued barrel nut, or worse, crack or break the receiver at the threaded end. It does not guarantee proper indexing of the barrel to the receiver. So use with caution, or break a receiver.
Pros:
- okay for muzzle device installs
- heavy, will last a lot of use
Cons:
- does not index the barrel to receiver
Best Used for:
- installing removing muzzle devices
