Rection Rod
An absolute must have for barrel and upper work on your AR-15. Takes ALL of the pressure away from the upper. Fits into the barrel extension and then secures the upper with two non marring bronze wedges which keep the upper from moving. Hole the upper in any orientation without movement. Easy and very secure. Another excellent product from Geissele.

geissele super reaction rod

Hard to Improve on This
The reaction rod is good. The Super is better. When torquing a barrel nut or breaking loose a tight one the Super with the little dogs in the ejector port hold the receiver so the little pin on the barrel extension and the slot in the receiver don't bear the load. Remove the dogs and it's a great work station for muzzle device on and offs and other upper assembly tasks. Geissele makes good stuff.

Works great
Works great! Hold the upper firmly and allows you to torque anything in or break anything off as needed. Doesn’t make any marks on the uppers ejection port. Works for LH eject as well. No complaints other than it’s expensive.

Makes life easier
Took an armorers course and the dude teaching the course had this. Great asset to any builder whether professional or just a "in the garage" AR builder/general maintenance/switch out parts guy such as myself. Makes working on your rifle easier. Shipped fast. Great product.

Super Reaction Rod
Geissele is usually known for their triggers. Sometimes people forget that they make tools as well. I've found this tool to be most helpful with builds and it can help prevent damage to parts. Don't waste your time with other brands. Stick with the best.

Good tool for a builder
It will protect your upper receiver better when putting on your barrel and also apply the torque where it is needed most. It has also made it easier to use with the super rod additional features. Buy one and you will have one less thing to worry about doing your builds!
