American123's Review of Geissele Super Sabra Trigger Pack For Iwi Tavor Rifles

I too was once like you. I said to myself, there is no way that I am going to pay $300-350 dollars for a trigger for my Tavor. My Tavor went through a series of stages from where it started as my favorite rifle and slowly fell out of the rotation going to the range, like the #1 girlfriend losing her place slowly to the other 6 until you just stopped calling her except to remind yourself that you still have that available when you want to be nostalgic. I originally bought the Tavor because I love bullpups, but we all know that the stock trigger is terrible. At first I could look past this due to the excitement of having it, but in time because my AR's all have Larue MBT-2S triggers, the butter smoothness of the AR triggers compared to the miniature brick that is pulling the stock Tavor trigger led the Tavor to be less desirable to shoot. I'm 6' 230lbs and am very fit, but shooting my Tavor for extended periods of time led my trigger finger to feel like I had been at the gym lifting weights and only using that 1 finger the entire time. Imagine going to the gym and seeing a guy lifting only weights with his right index finger the entire time and not exercising anything else, completely ridiculous, you get my point. He would probably look like a total D-bag who probably was trying to get to Mr. Miculek status of trigger speed, but going about it all the wrong ways.

OP ran a sale that dropped the price a considerable percentage which finally brought the price to a point that I could stand to try it out and I am so thankful that I did. Although the price causes someone to stagger, it is IMO the #1 change a person should make to their Tavor after a sling and whatever sights/optics are acquired.

The Tavor is back in the stable and the ones that replaced it before are going to be depressed because with the Geissele trigger pack installed, it makes shooting the Tavor so smooth and so enjoyable that you will consider leaving all the others at home and using only it. Kinda like when you realize that you should have never dropped the #1 girlfriend in the first place when all she needed was a small accessory to make her just as, or more fun as all the others, especially with her shorter height (bullpup style) compared to the others.

Don't put yourself through the torture anymore of owning an amazing rifle that you don't enjoy shooting as much as others just because the trigger sucks, drop some extra money on her and she'll fire off so smoothly you'll realize how much you loved her in the first place and she will become your go to favorite rifle again. It's still ok if you want to enjoy using 6 others occasionally though if the Tavor needs a break.
Pros:
  • You will enjoy your rifle more than ever
Cons:
  • You will have less money to spend on dates so you will go to the range more - wait, how is this a con, forget I said anything.
Best Used for:
  • enjoying fast fingering of the trigger, slow fingering would be perfectly fine also, it's whatever you enjoy more I guess.
