Great Defense Trigger
The SSA is my preferred choice in AR triggers. Although I use my AR primarily as a range gun, I also employ it as a home defense gun. The SSA allows for stressful situations, but is light enough to be very accurate at the range. It's a significant upgrade over a mil-spec trigger, but not light enough to be accidentally engaged when under stress. The SSAE is awesome if your primary use is at the range, but it's a bit light for anything else in my opinion.
Smooth as butter
After shooting a Geissele and feeling how smooth and crisp the trigger pull was I changed all my AR triggers to the SSA. Fantastic trigger system.

Great in all applications!
Whether you're at the range or using your AR for home defense, the basic Geissele SSA fits the bill. The two stage trigger has a consistent feel and easy release for target work but not so light that it might present a problem when used in a stressful situation. Bill Geissele has a fantastic YouTube video that makes the installation a breeze. It's an old video but does the job perfectly with easy explanations and useful tips.

The Right Trigger!
Put this trigger in my Sig 716i…which comes with a 7-8 lbs trigger pull. Saw a video with a guy supporting the weight of the rifle with a finger on the unfired trigger. It was leading to poor long range accuracy due to my “ anticipation” heavy trigger pull. This trigger solved this issue…much smoother with a smooth wall to break…and much less anticipation! More confident now with this awesome AR10!

Giessele SS-A 2 stage trigger
This trigger was the bleeding edge of the market offering, but until I installed it and ran it I did not believe the difference it could make. The installation method was the same as any trigger, except that Giesselle packages this with a dummy pin that eases installation quite a bit and can save you headache. The provided lubrication is vital and the instruction on use clear. As soon as one draws the bow on this they will understand the quality inherent. The take up is light but apparent, the first wall is clear and not mushy. The final trigger wall is crisper than anything I've shot and will be the standard by which I measure other triggers. A couple of my builds have had other triggers that cost half as much. These midrange triggers are improvements over oem hammer-droppers, but there is still some apparent grit and some squish to their wall. The gieselle ssa is in a different league. The difference showed up immediately in my groupings. With my cheap rifle and average skill groupings at 75 yards went from about 4 inches to 3 immediately. That's a heck of an improvement with a single change. There arent a lot of bells and whistles on the piece, it is an M&P sport II, so nothing that would break the bank. This trigger is the only thing that's a needed upgrade. It will make anyone a better shot, which makes learning go more quickly and keep you from wasting money on ammo and time at the range. Crisp and Excellent Trigger
Installation was partially rough. One of the pins Geissele provided was partially sheered. Albeit excellent trigger besides the pin.
Pull is very smooth and crisp. On par with the “carrot snap” Geissele refers too. This has went a defensive gun and I wanted a clear pull for both stages of the trigger. From first stage to second stage the trigger was smooth. No mistaking which stage I was on. I tested the trigger both using a radian talon safety selector (ambi) and it functioned smoothly.
ALG Go-Juice sample that came with the trigger is a decent lube as-well.
Giessele is well known for their triggers since the beginning. You can’t go wrong with a Giessele trigger, just your trigger weights.

Solid Trigger
Installation of the trigger was straightforward and accomplished without too much difficulty. When trying to install the trigger hammer, make sure your gun is not set on safe or the pin slot will not line up. Everything else during installation was per the instructions. When testing the trigger function, it has more travel than what I expected. It will take more sessions on the target range to get used to the travel and the trigger break point. The break on the trigger is smooth crisp and consistent. Overall,I am pleased with the feel and function and would recommend this trigger over the normal AR trigger and breakpoint.
