Do you want to overpay for a tiny piece of metal?
THEN THIS IS FOR YOU. Honestly, the texture on it is great and it helps me easily find the release wearing gloves or not. All the bros at the gun range will want to get your number because of the subtle flex of this mag release button.
what younwould expect
It’s a button. It fits well. Has a good finish. The texture is a little different. Probably makes no difference than a milspec. But you can be confident in the material, the tolerance. And brag that it’s a Geissele. They do look cool in my opinion.

Novelty item, but it's a nice touch
The regular mag release buttons that come in every other LPK have worked just fine in my rifles for years.
This one is a novelty item. When used with the Ultra Duty Checkered Stainless Takedown Pins, and the Maritime Bolt Catch, it enhances the aesthetic congruence of the overall setup. The checkering is nice and tactile, but nothing super duper stellar. Not like it's head-and-shoulders superior to the normal vanilla part.

Great for most people
First off, the button is very well machined, amazing to touch and worth the price increase if you’re looking for quality. But, if you are getting this button to work with the Hogue Freedom Fighter, it will NOT work because the button is slightly smaller than milspec (Hogue FF requires milspec). Geissele didn’t specify it was milspec so not a knock against them. But since it’s smaller, it still allows you to release mag with upper and lower together. I ended up going with the Strike Industries enhanced mag button, which doesn’t feel as high quality but works perfectly with the freedom fighter kit. TLDR; if you’re looking for quality, the extra cost is worth it. If you’re looking to use with the Hogue FF, it will not work as it’s slightly smaller than milspec.

Grippy, and solid!
Although this is just a mag release button it is a big update over the standard, milspec version. The machining is top notch and the texture is a lot grippier than normal which is nice. I will be using this part on all my builds moving forward. Top quality item from Geissele.
