Gerber Axe II

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on May 4, 2012
The Gerber Camp Axe II is the perfect sized axe/hatchet for my Bug-Out-Bag. Usually, camp axes are too small and take a great deal of effort to chop wood for a fire. The Gerber Camp Axe II is a mid-range tool that is right between a hatchet and an axe, making it an effective tool for camping and emergencies. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a quality tool.
OpticsPlanet.com is my number one site for all of my tactical equipment needs. Their prices are great and the products arive in a timely manner.
Pros: Perfect Size for Camping

Great Product

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on April 7, 2012
This is a very sharp axe, has a great handle and very lightweight. Just one downpoint though: its metal is a bit soft, so if you hit anything that isnt soft as wood, it will chip the bladed edge.
Pros: Very lightweight and excellent handle
Cons: Edge is a little flimsy for an axe
