Terrific Fixed Blade Tactical Knife with a couple of special features!!
The Gerber LMF is a terrific fixed-blade knife. The 420HC steel that Gerber uses is very strong and capable. Holds an edge well. Do not let the nay-sayers steer you wrong. The steel Gerber uses is good stuff. Also - don’t be fooled. A serrated blade can indeed be strong, durable and have the ability to feather wood if designed properly. This Gerber has that in spades.
Speaking of design, the over-all design of the LMF is special in that it was created by Gerber to be used by flyers in the military, along with those who ride along (spec-ops forces being deployed by helicopter, etc) to be able ...

Holding it right now it just perfect survival knife it was made for military use
Lots of green berates using it .
And it’s one of my favorite knifes .
Before buying knife you have to know exactly what you gonna us it for . This is everyday extreme conditions knife this is not combat knife but you can use it to eliminate your threat as any knife.
If you looking survivable knife- that’s it don’t go anywhere else this is the knife!
If you looking military fighting knife for close combat probably you would need some Fox knives like Sputnik11

Great Fixed Blade Knife
This is one of the best fixed blade knifes I own. I do own several Buck knifes and these stand right next to them as far as quality and craftsmanship. This is a great addition and a must have for my survival gear. Just and FYI the knife and part of the sheath is made in the USA and the legging and nylon straps are made in China. Buy one you will not be disappointed.

Took it off the leg harness and carried it on my plate carrier in iraq in 08. LOVED it. Super durable, stayed sharp, and that black retention piece meant I didnt even need to use those snap straps to keep the knife in its sheath. Great knife for everyday outdoor use.

I have nothing negative to say about this knife. Its solid and has a sweet weight & balance; One would not be disappointed in this option. Ive thrown it plenty..its no joke, Hits all the marks for me.

Great purchase!
Definitely recommend this knife, really great , helpful and handy! Easy to carry and store, great for carving, cutting wood or cloth. Great tool to add to your survival kit or go-bag. Well balanced and weighted and easy to handle.

Perez is mixed up.
I have this knife plus 4 Beckers, 2 DPx's, 2 Esee's, 2 Finnish Leuku's, 2 Ontario RD's, an SRK, a Trailblazer, numerous USMC, a number of KaBars and the list goes on and on and this knife is as good or better as most of them. The pommel is THE BEST. When you add up the features of the sheath and the included separate belt cutter the price is cheap. Perez says that the price is high but the knife is worth it. Perez, if the knife is worth it then it is not expensive! Knives are like women.....their beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Another great knife by Gerber. LMF Infantry Fixed Blade
Overall a great knife. It comes very sharp out of the box. The sheath is very adjustable. You can remove the MOLLE attachment with leg straps and just use the plastic sheath or use the belt loop. You can configure this knife to you gear or directly on your hip or even calf(if that's your thing). would recommend this knife to military, outdoorsmen...or just to have in a survival kit.
Pros: very durable, very sharp, and adaptable sheath.
Cons: price is not that great, but the knife is worth it.
