steyr scout rail weaver to picatinny
It worked perfectly for me. I now have my IR Defense Hunter Mark III mounted with zero modifications to the Steyr scouts rifle rail or the scopes factory Larue mounting base. I spoke to a few Steyr Mannlicher Scout aficionados and they assured me no such conversion existed. (20mm weaver rail with recoil notches at typical scout rifle scope mounting locations converted to mil std 1913 Picatinny rail via this mount). Perhaps I wasn’t clear about my intended application to those I spoke with. It’s been tested and swapped between 2 other rifles and placed back on and it held zero perfectly at 100y...

Great pic rail, mostly
It’s a solid rail. I love the throw lever and how solid it is. The only thing to be aware of, the rail is close to the mount, meaning there isn’t much space for all mount types. My Eotech mounted perfectly. But my vortex magnifier wouldn’t. I could only get it to clear at the very tail of the rail, and even then I had to file down the profile of the pic rail. This seems very specific to the vortex mount, so any other optics/rings I think will be fine. Overall I got it to work and I am happy with my setup

Quality Mount
This is higher in price than alot of other mounts out there, but this is nowhere near your typical mount off of Amazon from companies nobody has ever heard of before. Its very high quality and sturdy when attached. I bought this to try out on a Sig P320 Flux Raider which only has three pic slots for mounting so only one of the two screws were holding this mount in place and its still rock solid and allows me to now mount a red dot and a magnifier quickly whenever I want

great AR QD rail riser
Fantastic fit & finish from GG&G. perfect size to have my red dot and magnifier easy to remove together and re-attach maintaining zero. The design allows you to mount as far back as the charging handle.

It works great for my needs
I am using this base to switch between electronic sights and a scoped optic for a 7.62 platform. So far at 100 yard ranges these bases have held to my current level of accuracy requirements. I needed the longer base which is why I am using the scout. It works well for a red dot and then a magnifier or NVD. By switching only the bases I can now run optics for further clearer shots and red dots for night and close shooting. I have this mounted on a platform that is very reliable and basically has 2-3" avg grouping at 100 yard so as such I have not noticed any appreciable point of impact differences but I am not going for sub MOA.
