Overall, not a bad option if you are looking for something a little more functional and rigid than a scopecoat while also allowing you the option to change the housing color if your original sight wasn't black. A little tedious to install nicely, but not insurmountable by any stretch and to be expected. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the fit. Yes all the holes line up, but the holes and tolerances where the buttons are located are larger than the factory leaving it less then impressive when closely examining. The spacing/gapping along the two vertical sides are also a little loose and having to place the damping pad (should you choose to) on the top of the housing to keep the ABS plastic cover from slamming down on the aluminum body looks silly and can collect dirt/dust easily but a must use with the product in my opinion. Fortunately, they provide you with 3 extra damping pads but having a small recess in the aluminum body would have been a nice touch to keeping it more streamlined and less likely to collect dirt along the adhesive edge of the pad while making it look more completed or apart of the system as a whole. As is, the damping pad seems like more of an afterthought...

It took a little muscle to squeeze it on but once i got it on its snug as it should be. the hoods flip quickly and smoothly. The materials and quality are what ive come to expect from GG&G. I plan on buying another one for the flip to side combo eotech. It would be a wise purchase

Awesome! Protects the sight and the covers are out of the way during use.As the covers are attached I don't have to worry about loosing them or trying to find them after my range session.They protect going thru the bush and a simple flick of the thumb opens them up easily.

I really expected more for the 517 cover as everyone raves about them.... the fit up is horrible on mine...the plastic covers inside the hood are different color it come it looks like the plastic is already fading away and the lens cover is crooked on the front.... the lock time is a pain but I will never waste my money on one of these again I'm overall very disappointed with gg&g at least for the 517 cover and hood.... it makes my 500 dollar eotech look like a knockoff from China off of eBay I do not recommend this product save your money and buy a scope coat.....

Does what its supposed to do and is easy to configure. I've got a 3x with my EOTech EXPS2-0 and no room for the rear cover unless I flip the scope. Shoulda thought of that before buying it. I've got it sitting in a box until I get another EXPS scope... ;-)

The lens cover does what it is supposed to do. A little tricky taking the screws out of the scope. You have to take your time when installing.

This is a great upgrade for any Eotech and is cheap insurance for an expensive optic. If you have an Eotech get one. Enough said

Overall great product. Looks great on sighting system and offers excellent protection for some otherwise very expensive equipment. Those covers stick a little when closing them, however. I'm guessing they need to wear in some so that they operate more smoothly. Very good product overall.

Very good piece once installed. Need to be carefull during the installtion that you don't damage the push buttons. Instructions are not the greatest but the product is great.
