Most Helpful Positive Review so easy I could do it
I was looking for a rail for my m&p sport. I saw this rail on line and ordered it from optics planet. It is easy to in stall and seems real sturdy. So if you don't to install a rail system or go the magpul route this is a great option.

easy rail to attach

by gsc, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on August 10, 2024
High quality easy rail to attach to the AR/M16 clone platform. Easy instructions and takes minutes. Don’t need to remove hand guard. Made from high quality parts and fits like a glove. Would recommend

Just make sure you have a handguard wrench handy

by pm, from TN, United States Written on November 30, 2019
Got this thing to only find one of the three high-speed-way-cool "cams" sticks, and fails to "drop" into place as advertised. This in spite of generous amounts of CLP on the bearing surface. Which means the only way to install this is sucker to pull the handguard and install it just like GG&G's significantly less expensive UFIR rail. Which I can do. Frankly, I wouldn't be this pissy about it if this wasn't the second time I've seen quality issues with something from GG&G. Last time it was an 870 light mount that needed generous amount of hand-fitting with a file. Does it work? Yes. But the lack of quality control from these guys is just insulting. GG&G really needs to change their slogan to "Great Ideas, Poorly Executed".
Pros:
  • Nice idea
Cons:
  • Poorly executed

Dose not fit Armalite Ar 10

by DanT, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 7, 2018
The GG&G rail looked like just what I wanted, to attach my new Atlas bipod to my Ar-10, but it didn't line up with the holes on the factory handguard. Being an Armalite I was not surprised; nothing else fits it why would this.
Pros:
  • High quality
Cons:
  • Dose not fit Armalite

Great Way to Add a Rail to Standard Carbine Grip.

by Ron in Texas, from TX, United States Written on February 24, 2016
Works as advertised on standard MIL-Spec forearm. Ruger 556 and others without a heatshield in forearm will require a .020" shim under the rail for the capture screw to tighten correctly. Although it can be installed without pulling the forearm, it's a good idea to take it apart to insure the capture screws seat properly. Still, a great way to add a rail without going the MAGPUL or Keymod route.
Best Used for:
  • MIL-Spec/issue AR-15/M-4

Decently well

by aMAC, from NC, United States Written on October 30, 2014
Fits my bushmaster well. It seems that angle of the rail edge may be off a little. I over tightened my bipod adaptor on it and seems to be holding well. This was the only place I would trust from the few sites that provided this adaptor. Still recommend it.
Pros:
  • utility
Cons:
  • None
