Positives: I like the feet, and I like the rail attachment, really fast and easy. Negatives: The thumb screws that tighten the legs and the mounting point pivot need to be bigger, you can’t get enough tension on them with your fingers to make them hold. I would suggest a detent in the vertical position, to hold better, and because that’s where it would be most commonly used. A heavy rifle will overpower the adjustment screws easily. At half this price I might be able to recommend it.

I have no clue why anyone would rate this thing less than 5 stars unless they got a knockoff, this brand in general produces some or the finest accessories and this Bipod is no exception. Looks good, works as it’s supposed to and it’s super lightweight, legs tight solidly, adjustment is superb. Unless they stop manufacturing I’ll keep on buying them, one downside is the price...but most good things are expensive anyway so.

Even works on Ruger Percision rifle’s. I shot today for the first time with it and it was rocksteady and easily adjustable and allowed for on Sutter hits at 800 yards. Thought it would be heavy enough however it exceeded my expectation.
Best Used for:
- On the ground shooting or a hard surface

Best thing I’ve ever handled bipod-wise , bomb proof and the price is right. Feels light but you will find it’s very sturdy, it’s going to be attached to a M1a scout , thinking about ditching all my other bipods and get 2-3 more of these while the price is low. Highly recomended, will not disappoint.

This is one beautiful piece of metal. Exactly what I have been looking for to mount on a Ruger precision. Functions smoothly and silently. Solid as a rock. Fantastic finish. And looks awesome. Don't waste your money on Harris or Atlas, trust me. I'm not someone to just throw money around, so even the 220 was well thought out for this purchase. However I'm confident I will never miss that money enough to regret having bought this. I haven't fired off of it yet, but I can already tell it will do the job great. I will definitely buy more from GG&G and OpticsPlanet. Good stuff.

OP gave a great deal on this bipod, sturdy and well constructed. Mounted perfectly to the GG&G 1243 mount I also purchased from OP. The bipod range tested very well.
The only negative on the transaction was that I bought this as a replacement for an out of stock item. This resulted in an unusually long wait time from my first order to actual delivery.

I bought this bipod for a .50 bmg. I was surprised when I pulled this bipod out, I thought $200+ for this?
Then I showed it to my buddy who is a sniper and quipped that this was $200 and he said "yeah it is that is heavy duty right there". We put it on the .50 and it held up very well!

Quality built, and will withstand typical abuse during the course of use. Legs extend utilizing gravity as they're not spring loaded, and do not allow for partial forward positions as they lock either raised up or turned down. The mounting base is quite strong, and occupies about two inches of rail but stays in place with a single recoil lug. The thumb knob used for adjusting cant and legs is rather small. On my unit the cant could not be locked, or tightened enough to prevent accidental rifle cant. Overall I rate the quality very high, but the features and functionality are a bit lacking.
Pros:
- solid construction
- Lightweight design
Cons:
- Undersized thumb knobs
- Cant is difficult to lock

Purchased this from Optics Planet and would buy another. The bipod certainly meets the reputation GG&G has for quality, durability and craftsmanship. Can be installed, removed or set up with your eyes closed or in the pitch dark. One very small issue I had was when extending the legs there was a low volume sound of metal on metal as the leg slid down. This was easily solved by a small squirt of dry lube.

Installed the GGG-1245 on my 13.8 Rail System, for my 24" Bull Barrel Rifle, and it works amazing! Tried other Bipods before - they we weak and didn't do the job. For it's weight, it's super strong! The Feet lock into place on different surfaces! The swivel and cant of the Bipod makes for easy target acquisition. And the deployment is quick and easy!
Pros: Extra Strong, Easy to Install, Light in Weight, Quick Deployment
Cons: None
