Bends. Plain and simple.
The instructions state it can be mounted left side pointed back or right side pointed forward. Then you can mount your light. I chose right, so the light does not get tied up with the sling. Well after 10 slugs or so the mount and light are bent toward the centerline, angled left. I straightened it and shot 10 more, same thing. It's a $40 small piece of metal, I'd like it not to bend okay?
Very Good flashlight mount for Shotgun
Well built product to secure a flash light for a home defense shot gun. I used some red loctite to give extra insurance that the rail does not come loose from the bracket under heavy recoil.

Fantastic flashlight mount
This mount fits the Mossberg perfectly. The mount can can be mounted on either side and positions the flashlight just right for operation while keeping the light out of the way while working the slide. Well made, good finish, and durable.
