I ordered the XPS2 series and it was a dream. The 512 series will not close on the front despite all my efforts of unmounting, remounting, add nauseum. DO NOT buy this thing for a 512, totally out of spec, drags on the battery case on closure attempt even after multiple reseatings with an attempt to keep it as high as possible. Front cover drags on battery case, hinge is too far forward to close this area correctly. If this was a girlfriend I would question what the heck was I thinking?
Cons:
- does not fit
- loose hardware

I was using a Hugo Industries cover, but the fit was not very secure and I had to keep track of it when I took it off. When I stumbled upon the GG&G cover that would stay attached in use, I decided to relace the Hugo.
GG&G instructions say the EOTech must be removed from the host to install. Not necessary unless you have something else installed directly behind the optic. Just remove the 3 T-15 Torx screws holding the protective cover on, unscrew the battery cap, then slide the cover rearward off the dovetail slots. I rolled the lens cover on as pictured in the directions and it fit like a second (subdermal) skin. I dusted the underside of the cover with baby powder and it slid onto the optic with just a little jostling. Apply blue Loctite and reinstall the 3 Torx screws and battery cover. The lens covers operate as described. Highly recommended.

I like it. I didn't expect a fitted sleeve on the rubber to match the contour of the EOTech perfectly. It did. Wow. Great job from those renegades at GG&G. The doors flip up like the batcave opening with the front and rear doors landing perfectly to avoid being in my field of view or ruining a great co-witness sight. I recommend a heat gun for the initial fit to closed as the soft rubber and plastic may need help to speed up the eventual smooth seal. Alternatively, you may not get a smooth fit when closed for a couple months. I hated the price but after installing it I quickly forgot about it because I was happy. I immediately want GG&G to cover my EOTech 518 also!

Covers went on with no problem bu following the instructions.
Works great. I had a cover for the EoTech, cloth with elastic hold on, which always came off.
This cover does work and looks good. No need to worry about always cleaning the lens do to finger prints or dust.

Not a bad piece of equipment to protect your glass form damage. I recommend cutting it in half and tying to slide it in through both sides. It’s still a tight fit being cut in half and useful. It doesn’t worth we’ll with the magnifyer, if you run the magnifyer close to your optic. If you follow the instructions it says to take your EoTech optic apart which can void the warranty. If you don’t mind a voided warranty then follow the instructions.
Pros:
- Get for protecting your optic glass
Cons:
- Will void warranty if you follow instructions

The cover looks great and I've seen them on my friends EOTech's before however it seemed to small I tried to use soap like they suggested and had some other the other guys help me but in the end it was just to small.

Although it took forever and a day to arrive, the wait was worth it. There are not many options to cover an Eotech red dot scope. This one works and is of a very clever design. Simple to install if one follows the directions. I am surprised that the military has not picked up on it

I just purchase a second EOTech lens cover, being the one I had on my first optic has lasted fine for ten years, with only little use. I decided to put one also on my second EOTech as well. It's worth the cost to keep your optic cleaner.
Pros:
- Still works fine after years.

The product was shipped quickly by Optics Planet and arrived without any damages.Be aware that to install these lens covers you will have to remove the outer shell of the optic. The install instructions are very good and once everything was tightened back up the optic looked great.
