Mossberg Shockwave Firearm 12 gauge
The BEST shell saddle available , The slant is very cleaver . I put this on a MOSSBERG SHOCKWAVE 14" Barrel. Put 2 shells in front ( Brass up ) for direct chamber feeding, and use the 4 in the rear for tube/ magazine feeding.Does not add much weight to the receiver, and will still go into a Voodoo Scabbard without hanging up or too tight of a fitment !!!!!!! All hardware is included....

Very clever design!
Well made aluminum construction and a clever way of retaining the shells in the holder. There is a rubber rod running perpendicular to the shell openings that holds them from falling out.

ok but not great
I have been using the federal mini shells with the Opsil adapter in my Mossberg 590. During some of the drills, the mini shells flip and spin when breech loading. I got the side saddle to hold full size shells for breech loading. The 1st 4 slots the full-size shells hold snug and slip out easy for breech loading. the back two slots--#5 & #6 are so tight, you can't get them out with one hand. With a home defense load of 12 minis in the tube, 1 full size chambered, and 4 usable in the side saddle, I think I have enough for a few intruders I can fumble around with the last two shells. Time will tell if 5 & 6 will loosen up with use.
The biggest issue I have is how to remove the trigger, bolt and slide without removing the side saddle fasteners--they took the place of the pin holding the trigger assembly.

very solid shell holder
This shell holder is solid for sure for my Maverick 88. It’s a sleek design but very durable. Install was very easy and simple. Can’t complain with the product but in my opinion it was a little pricey. Overall I would definitely buy this again if I had to.

It looks awesome on my mossberg shockwave. It was easy to install, it didn't take me long to put it on. If you own a mossberg and don't have this, I highly recommend you buying this for your pew pew. You won't regret it!
