Solid Mount for a Mossberg 500/590

Does not work well with Magpul forend
I wanted this mount to avoid having a light mounted of the forend of my 590. From the picture of the product on website it appeared just like how I wanted it. Mossberg flashlight mount
This integrates perfectly with the Mossberg 500 series.
Would recommend: Yes
Works as it should
It fits well. Be careful not to rely on it instead of a shoulder stock, or it will cause it to loosen over time. Don't expect it to hold exact position while using your weapon either. It simply slides on after unscrewing your magazine cap. It's gonna slip a bit when dealing with turbulence, but it still shows no sign of coming off, even if you're a bit rough with it. You can carry reliably, and it holds a flashlight attachment. If you plan on replacing your magazine tube cap, this allows for a place to attach a sling in a similar (but not the exact same) position.

Make sure you have a file.
It Did not fit out of the box I had to file off a little metal then rubber mallet it on but it is tight. I have a large Surefire light mounted on the unit and it's worked out well. Overall once installed works as advertised.

Not Worth The Effort
Solidly built. However, 2 important points: 1st, the mount must be attached on the right sight of the shotgun, otherwise there is a wobble. 2nd and most seriously, you cannot use a bayonet with the mount installed. I had previously emailed the company and they stated that I could. However it can't be done. After 3 failed attempts at reaching their customer service, I'm calling it a loss.
