Rob the independent semi-liberal moderate's Review of GG&G Remington 870 Quick Clip Single Point Attachment for HK Style Snap Hooks
It's a simple, sturdy piece. It fit my 1970s era Remington 870 Wingmaster just fine. It doesn't affect my cheek weld at all.
If you want a quality sling attachment point behind the receiver, you can't go wrong with this.
After I finally removed my butt plate (read below), it took me about 90 seconds to install this--super easy.
If you have an 35+ yr old stock rubber butt pad, be ready to replace that too! (It probably needs it, like mine.)
Installation was complicated for me because the old butt-pad was hard with age, making working the screwdriver work hard -- no feel. An effort to remove the butt-plate screws stripped them. This led me to cutting up the butt plate, removing the screws with a vice-grip pliers, and replacing the butt plate -- long over due and much softer on my shoulder now. So, be ready for some fun like this if you're working on an older gun with an old rubber butt pad that has hardened.
But, as long as you don't have problems with your butt plate like I did, installation should be a breeze.
