I purchased this to do a build, it's exactly what you'd expect, the upper rail is a picatinny style rail, the lower rail, which is my only complaint, is not, which isn't really annotated anywhere in the description nor are there enough pictures of the upper to see they aren't, luckily it's not terribly difficult to drill some holes and mount a picatinny lower rail on yourself. Overall though I'm pleased with the service and the product I purchased
