It's my second one. I love the glass, the reticle, the size and the look. It's an amazing little prism optic!

Very hard to beat for the price. It's tall enough that the iron sights on my MP5 clone are still easily usable. Has the etched reticle so in good lighting it's usable without a battery. Feels very solid; and if it holds up as well as some of the youtube reviews I'll be very pleased. Great for fast sight acquisition. Would be great for short range (<100yds) target, tactical or hunting applications.
Pros:
- Price
- Reticle and clarity
- Durabilaty
- build & quality
Best Used for:
- Short range and fast target acquisition
- Target / Hunting
- Close quarter

The things are built like a rock. They have that great etched reticle that will remind you a looking at an eotech. I would know, I own an eotech.
I put it on my KSG shotgun. She keeps her zero without an issue.
I have recommended this already. My buddy got one and loves it.
For the price, you just can’t beat it

Actually ordered the GLX but was on backorder for several months so decided to give this a try. Is a few ounces lighter then the glx and like the mount much better. I love this reticle i have astigmatism and dots are usually blurry in some way, even with a high level of illumination this thing is very crisp. The idea of this reticle is simple tip of the triangle for precise shots and the triangle in whole for speed. Very cool optic controls are nice auto off on feature lightweight and very good eyerelief and glass. Have used the glx and think this has a leg up on it. As far as durability there are some YT videos of this thing being beaten pretty aggressively and holds up. Overall well made clear optics great price very happy with this all around.
Best Used for:
- Close to mid range multi use

The Gideon advocate is, IMO the best budget prism on the market. I own 4 of them now and have put probably a combined 3500 rounds under them. They have a great reticle and Take a lot of abuse and still hold zero. The only thing I would like to see, is a taller riser but for the money that’s a minor thing. Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better site for the money.

The Gideon Optics Advocate is the best low budget prism on the market in my opinion. I own 3 of them and they’re ultra reliable. Zero problems with a combined 5,000 rounds under them. I love the reticle as well.
Pros:
- budget friendly
- Durable, holds zero

I purchased this item because the reticle was similar to EOTECH, except etched on glass so it's visible when battery is off. Now I think it is superior. One third the price, half the size and weight. The Gideon circle is 100 MOA; EOTECH is only 68 MOA. It was always irritating to zero an EOTECH because the center dot is pixilated and fuzzy; not precise enough. Turn off the light on the Gideon Advocate and you are looking at a solid black triangle which can give a very precise point of aim. Illumination seems adequate for normal daylight. If you want quick target acquisition you should give this a serious look.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Fast on target
- Light, compact
Best Used for:
- competition
- range practice

This is an incredibly simple optic that feels well built. Very easy to actuate the controls. The reticle really shines under illumination but will work without batteries. The real benefit here is adjustable diopter that works for people that have problems picking up a normal red dot that just floats in space. For the price in 2024/25 I don't believe this can be beaten for $200. The case looks like it can take some battle damage but as this is designed for the commercial market I don't know how this performs under high temperature variance as well as wet/sandy/muddy conditions. Ships with a functional anti reflection honeycomb as a nice bonus.
Who is this for? You are in the market for a under 150yd close range optic that would have an emphasis for fast target acquisition maybe hog hunting or as a shotgun optic. If you like red dot sights you might just love an illuminated etched reticle as I find it much easier to get a quick sight picture.
Pros:
- Sturdy, long battery life, easy adjustments, simple design, fast sight picture, include anti reflection device
- clear glass with minimal distortion
- bright illuminated reticle
Cons:
- body to glass ratio
- unknown long term reliability (released in 2024)
