Why 5/8X24 thread pitch instead of the much more standard 5/8X32 450 Bushmaster/458 SOCOM thread?!
Every other supplier that I know of uses a 5/8X32 thread pitch for 458 SOCOM barrels but this supplier went with 5/8X24.
I stock 5 different 458 SOCOM muzzle brakes from 4 different suppliers and they are all threaded 5/8X32!
Now I have to either bore out a 30 cal brake or buy a brake from the same supplier!
I guess that this is one way to make sure that people buy more from them.
This could also be dangerous for a customer who doesn't know any better and simply threads on a standard 5/8X24 30 cal muzzle brake!
Not safe for operation.
Purchased two barrels. Since the threading was correct in comparison to the original design 5/8x24. However when I received product I took pictures of the lower barrel lugs because it seemed like the ramping had too much material removed. After only 30 firings the lower 3 lugs were peened back(due to lack of material)and they don't even touch anymore. This will cause premature failure to your bolt(not a cheap part to replace) amongst other issues. This is a large round with a big explosion next to your face. Buy tromix it's only 50$ more. Well known smiths in my area have had their hands on these. I sent back the second barrel right away. Spoke glfa and received no resolve for issues. A zero was not an option

Great barrel!
Barrel arrived quickly with no defects. Install was easy. I've run 325 ftx and 300 hp. Both group decent at 100 yards. I paired it with the GLFA Devastator muzzle brake. Recoil is mitigated and muzzle rise is almost non-existent. Very pleased with the two.
Best Used for:
- Hiking and target.
