These mags look really nice and I thought they'd be cool to have for a "retro" look. The metal body is made well but all 3 mags do not drop free from the mag well when you push the mag eject button. One of the three did not lock the bolt back on empty.
I tried them in 2 separate rifles, known to work 100% with Duramags and Magpul Pmag Gen 2.
I wish I could post photos, but what I see when I insert these mags into the lower, is that the follower slips past the mag catch, whereas on Duramag and Pmag it doesn't. I don't know if that is the only issue, and not sure if this is properly named "over-insertion". But the follower should ride inside the narrow channel in the back of the mag, which allows the mag catch to sit on top of it when inserted.
I am starting to prefer polymer mags - specifically Magpuls - but I've never had any issues with Duramags in 556, 350L, 308, or 6.5 Grendel. Will not buy any other brands anymore.
Pros:
- Looks nice, glossy and shiny.
Cons:
- Not reliable
- Won't drop free
- No BCG lock back on empty

Good Mags. The black finish on them is thick, making the steel feel thicker and heavier than your usual GI surplus mags. The followers are non tilt for you who care about that! Good value for the price, most gun stores try to rob you on steel mags. They’d probably charge 35-40$ each for these.
Enjoy!

The magazine's quality is outstanding. They have strong springs and the overall construction does not feature unfinished or sharp edges. The finish is also excellent and even. I disassembled, rubbed out the springs with steel wool, and lightly lubricated with Teflon, and then tested with 55 gr, 62 gr, and 77 gr; the magazines functioned as intended without any hiccups. If you're value motivated, you will enjoy your purchase!
Pros:
- Steel Magazine with bright Anti-Tilt Follower. Excellent craftsmanship!
Cons:
- Korean Manufacturing. It's not Made In 'Merca
Best Used for:
- AR15 / M16 - Daily Usage and Cold Climate Conditions

On the day I bought this I was looking at my extra mag supplies for the ar15 platform, and I noticed they were all plastic. I like the look, feel, and ruggedness provided by the steel mags more personally, and I’d kinda forgotten that until that day. I personally do not know if the polymer (plastic) versions are any less structurally sound, but logically I would think the steel would be stronger. I could be completely wrong. I have some in carbon fiber that are supposed to be super strong. All I know is I like storing mags full, and that plastic is malleable, and I worry about the feed lips having that constant pressure on them for a long period of time. They may be better than steel. I don’t know. I just personally feel better about storing loaded steel mags rather than polymers ones. I don’t think they specify on the website, but the ones I got came from South Korea, and seemed to be as good of quality as US, or Russian military mags.

Good price on 30 round metal mag. Plastic lips on mags can wear and cause issues. Good price so i picked up 3. One of those things I pick up when the price is right. Upper lower receiver, BCG, hand guards, LPK always need spare parts.

Side by side with other aluminum mags, can't tell the difference. Always need a few more mags.
