Could have been 4-5 stars but… - Grey Birch MFG La Chassis 10/22 Long Action Complete Chassis System

Looks alone, I’d give it 5 stars however, functionality wise, it gets a 3. I’ve fought with the butt pad since the day I got it out of the box and still fighting with it 2 weeks later. I have 1 rod that will not move without taking a punch and mallet to it if I want the butt pad to move even 1/16th of an inch. You can’t pull it or pry it at all. You have to take something through the milled hole on the stock and punch the rod (forcefully) in order to get it to budge. Someone didn’t QC this unit at all apparently.
I will say the that folding stock mechanism works nicely and locks up perfectly. Mine came pre-nicked but I got it at a discount so I let that one slide. However, failure to function I’m not so easy on. Wish they had a version where you could attach other stocks to it but in this 10” configuration.
