What can i say? The Grey Birch 10/22 La Chassis is a winner. The stock Ruger 10/22 receiver drops right in and fits tight, there is a setscrew that you can use to help snug it in, but I didn't need that. It's lightweight and the ergonomics are fantastic. Most of all, it looks really nice. Not the cheapest chassis out there, but it's a very high quality product that really helped to wake up an old platform that was collecting dust in the back of my safe.

I have (4) GB chassis (2) CZ457 & (2) 10/22 DLX models. A high performance lightweight well designed part with a folding stock that provides the versatility to have a small hunting backpack carrying rig. Everything fits together perfectly. The dark grey hard anodized part is outstanding. Super easy to assemble if you must have the ability to work with tight tolerance CNC machined parts that have indexed matching features. The rear anchor set screw is a must to lock in the receiver & have accurate 10/22. Some of the reviews appear to reflect the lack of skill in working with detailed components. The company is a listed FFL license mfg and can be called at (813-###-####) to get help. Outstanding CS the owner is great. Get the right grip & bag rider. Everyone who shoots the DLX will be impressed performance & looks as they take that range picture in their hands smiling. I recommend to anyone building a high quality custom 10/22.
Pros:
- The fit, finish, features, looks performance & Qualiity
Best Used for:
- Custom builder
- High end preformance rigs

I was looking forward to putting together and using the chassis, but when I received the package, it was missing bolts, screws, and instructions. I don't know where the lapse in quality control stopped but I have sent it back and hope to order again. The chassis was solid and well made, I just wish it had come wirh everything needed to use.

Purchased the Grey Birch 10/22 from Optics Planet and had to immediately exchange for another because the stock screws did not tighten the folding mechanism to the stock and chassis leaving me with a wobbly stock (Optics Planet's exchanged the product for another without problem although the process was a bit cumbersome). The foregrip also did not center on the bull barrel and (as noted by others) the on-line instructions were out of date and at least one set screw was missing. The second chassis/stock was better although the foregrip still does not center on the barrel for reasons I cannot ascertain. But more frustrating is that the Magpul MOE SL AR grip that I purchased does not fit onto the chassis grip fixture (not even a little bit). I suppose I will have to sand the grip until it fits? When I first contacted Grey Birch via email (no telephone number provided), I receied a fairly indifferent email response but no offer to discuss the issues by phone or suggestions for resolving the problems. Their web literature seems pretty folksy with jokey asides throughout; maybe they should spend more time fixing the machining tolerances and testing products before shipping to retailers. On the positive side: it is a good looking rifle (unfortunately I have not had a chance to fire it yet since I've been spending all my time trying to get a product I can assemble)!

Awesome stock. Very well made and light weight. Older 10/22 reciever mounted in perfectly. Combined with a briley barrel and Leopold freedom 3-9. Total wight of the rifle is 4.9 pounds. I want to build a lightweight hunting rifle on a grey birch for my next project.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Solid well built
Cons:
- Price $$$ - unfortunately good things come out a price.

Everything fit…no looseness. There were no instructions, but if you need them, you probably shouldn’t be building a firearm.

I paired this with a grey birch barreled action and volquartsen trigger. Everything fit together perfectly and the rifle can shoot a flea off a squirrel's back within 100yd. The chassis itself was super easy to assemble and feels like high quality. Would recommend to anyone building a quality 10/22
