Most Helpful Positive Review Best sights for the money!
Take these reviews with a grain of salt. I have owned, and currently own most of the top buis on the market. From mbus…mbus pros, troys, kac, Sampson, Ultradyne, fab defense, etc…..these sights are every bit as good as mbus pros. They do have a unique mounting system, but it’s actually not bad. In f...

Most Helpful Negative Review sights are great. mounts suck
I am a huge fan of Griffin products. I own a few of their suppressors and other accessories. I have to say the execution of their mounts for these sights are terrible. They don’t use conventional side clamping mounts for the pic rail. Instead they use a vertical screw which presses on an included st...

Griffin armament front and back iron site

by Al420, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on May 17, 2024
The best site that I ever put on my AR 15 The product was easy to install and when you put it in your hand, you can feel how good the product is made in the amount of engineering into it

They look nice

by David, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on November 2, 2023
I have this on my 10.5" AR on a Geissele MK4 10" hand guard. Due to the holes on top of the hand guard you will not be able to attach the front sight to a space on top of the front picatinny rail where the screw would be flush to the sight. It does come with a metal shim but it's very flimsy and bends under pressure. I had to install the front sight to where it's reversed? When folding up to use it folds up towards the rear of the gun vs when normally folding up to use it will fold up towards the muzzle. The sights are not smooth when folding up. It feels very gritty when folding up.
Pros:
  • Looks nice and very flat when folded down
Cons:
  • Gritty when opening or closing
Best Used for:
  • Range

Hands down the best BUIS I have ever handled.

by Alias, from NE, United States Written on August 10, 2022
I own many of these and never had a single issue mounting them or them ever falling off.
They are stiff at first to deploy but they eventually loosen up a bit but still stay locked in up and down positions.

If you smash your upper in a barricade yes they will lower but thats good because then they wont snap off like locking up and down buis out there.

They are also the most low profile buis I have ever encountered, which if you get the wrong height rings for a scope you shouldnt have an issue unless you try to fit a 50mm scope when you needed 1.7+ height mounts.
Pros:
  • Low profile
  • excelent quality
  • fits great if you dont have china made handguards or uppers
Cons:
  • little pricy but if you ever want to make them angled you dont need to buy a whole different set

Ok so i seen these for 130 buck. Thought great for back UPS on my new pistol build. Holosun red dot primary . Wont fit rail. Only fits onto upper receiver. 12 0'clock things wont slide onto front rail.
Pros:
  • Cheap

  • Cheap

Great back up sights

by Kennedy, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on March 8, 2021
I went ahead and jumped on these sights. I didn't want plastic sights, or cheap metal ones either. I will say that the only "complaint" is, that the detent works maybe a little too well. Either way... I'm very happy.

Decent sights bad mounting system

by Mike W, from MN, United States Written on February 8, 2021
These are nice sights don't get me wrong but they mount by screwing a set screw into the top of your rail with a little aluminum insert to protect the upper/handguard (which doesn't) The set screw left a big dent in my mlok handguard and upper receiver which I'm not happy about. Some people may not care about damaging their gun cosmetically but with so many other great option why get these?
Pros:
  • Nice lightweight sights
Cons:
  • Damages weapon finish
Best Used for:
  • Lightweight beater AR

Best Sights for the Money Hands Down

by trill daddy, from TX, United States Written on February 4, 2021
The Griffin Armament sights are one of the best available on the market. These are what I would personally recommend over any other though. You can’t go wrong for the price and quality. Plus the bases for these sets are tiny. They take up no space on your rail.
Pros:
  • Everything
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • 0-300m shooting

Good for backups not as primary sights

by Kyle Stocker, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on January 22, 2021
These sights are adequate for backup sights only. I would not use them as my primary sights. They have some slight side to side movement when deployed, and are very hard to fold up and down when new. I ended up disassembling them and slightly grinding down the lip on the detent and polishing the contact surfaces, now they fold up and down much easier.
Pros:
  • Decent price and quality
Cons:
  • Needed to be modified to work properly
Best Used for:
  • Backup sights

Best BUIS for the money!

by rdvance, from TN, United States Written on August 18, 2020
very low profile and the rear doesn't interfere with charging handle at all. I like them so much im gonna buy the 45 degree set for my scoped AR. the way they mount there is very little chance of them coming off.
Pros:
  • lo pro, great value compared to others.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • BUIS

Griffin Armament best value BUIS

by Doug, Verified Owner from NE, United States Written on August 17, 2020
These sight are awesome for anyone looking for a minimalist, solid steel, lightweight back up iron sight. The sights stay put with only spring tension and don't require extra knobs to deploy or fold back down. The sight picture is as expected. I have only used these up to 200 yards but was able to shoot similar size groups as when using a 3-9 scope, approximately 2 in groups. I am confident in using these anytime a primary optic would fail or even using these as the primary sites.
Pros:
  • Excellent value
  • Solid build and easy install. Looks great
Cons:
  • No Cons
Best Used for:
  • Back up heavy duty sights
Would recommend: Yes
